What this tool does
Sitemapaudit is a diagnostic tool. You provide a sitemap URL, and the tool fetches that sitemap, follows any sitemap-index recursion, and requests each URL listed in the sitemap. It returns a report of which URLs answer 200, which return errors, which redirect, and whether lastmod values are consistent. No data persists beyond the request.
Data we receive
When you use the tool, the following is sent to the server:
- The sitemap URL you entered (sent as part of the API request body).
- Standard HTTP request metadata: your IP address, user-agent string, and the time of the request. These are present in every HTTP request and are handled transiently by the hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers).
We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use the tool.
What we store
Nothing. The API runs in a Cloudflare Worker that processes your request and returns a response. No database, file system, or persistent store is used. No audit results, URLs, or timestamps are saved. Each request is fully self-contained.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set any cookies. It does not use analytics services, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any third-party scripts beyond the Google Fonts service, which loads font files from Google's servers. Google's use of data in connection with Fonts is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
Third-party data sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. The only external network requests the tool makes are (a) fetching the sitemap XML from the URL you provided, and (b) fetching each URL listed in the sitemap to check its HTTP status. Both of these are done on your behalf by the server and the results are returned to you.
Sitemap URL content
The URLs you audit are sent to the server and from there to the hosts indicated in the sitemap. The operators of those hosts may log those requests as part of their normal server operations. This is the same as visiting a URL in your browser: the host learns that someone requested it.
Data retention
Because no data is stored, no data is retained. Cloudflare's edge logs may retain request metadata for a short period (typically 24–72 hours) as part of their network operations. We do not access or export these logs.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Since this tool stores no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions, you should contact the operator once a legal entity and contact method are established.
Changes to this policy
If data practices change in the future, this policy will be updated. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
